If you cannot find the information you want in our service pages, you may be able to find it on this main FAQ page.
After looking at the statistics of how users browse our site we have now focused on the most used services as priority, many hundreds of information pages on our site that were accessed rarely or sometimes not at all have now been removed to de-clutter and make our site easier to use.

However we still accept that some information is desirable to help our users better understand aspects of how Carlisle City Council services work, so we provide FAQ lists on most our section landing pages.

Improving your home for life

Homelife Carlisle can help you improve and maintain your home.

Our reliable Handyperson service can do small jobs around the home, from minor repairs inside to garden maintenance, and you can be reassured that they’ve been checked out by us.

Or our Managed Repair Service can help you to work out which jobs need doing, find an expert contractor and manage getting them done as quickly as possible for a reasonable price.

The Homelife Carlisle team also has access to grants to help those in most need with the costs of keeping warm, keeping safe and keeping well.  You can get in touch yourself or health and social care workers can make a referral.

From vulnerable young families to older people, we can help.
