Visiting Officers
In order to help people claim Housing and/or
Council Tax Benefit that they may be eligible for the Benefits
section provides a dedicated officer who will carry out home
visits.
The Visiting Officer provides an advisory
service to customers who are elderly or disabled in the comfort of
their own home and can assist with the completion of any forms that
are needed.
To arrange for a Visiting Officer to come to
your home, contact us on 01228 817201. We
will notify you in writing before coming to visit you.
Verification Officers
We also have officers whose job it is to visit you at home to
ensure your claim is correct and that you are still claiming
all the Benefits you are entitled to. If a Verification
Officer is coming to visit you we will notify you by letter
first.
All of our Visiting Officers carry ID cards with
them.
