Council Tax band reductions

If you or someone who lives with you, needs an extra room because of a disability, you may be entitled to a reduced Council Tax bill. The reduction would be to that of a property one band lower. Properties in Band ‘A‘ would be reduced by 1/9th of Band 'D'.

These reductions ensure that disabled people do not have to pay more Council Tax because they need more space.
