Licence - caravan site

Caravan and Camping Sites

Carlisle City Council are responsible for issuing site licences and enforcing site licence conditions. Licences will only be issued once Planning Permission has been granted. This includes sites which accept touring caravans, static caravans and residential caravan sites, sometimes referred to as Park Homes.

The Caravan Sites and Control of Development Act 1960 prohibits the use of land as a caravan site, unless a site licence is issued by the Local Authority.

There are model standards for caravan sites which would now be standard for any new residential caravan park that set up after 2008. These standards are listed below in the downloadable documents.
