Bryan Gray

Bryan GrayPosition: Chairman of the Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).

Current Role:

Bryan has led the NWDA for six years and is due to step down later this year. The NWDA is one of nine Regional Development Agencies established by the Government to develop the English regions. It is responsible for leading sustainable economic development and regeneration in the Northwest.

Career Highlights:

He is Pro Chancellor of the University of Lancaster and an honorary Professor in the Department of the Built Environment at the University of Nottingham. He is Chairman of Urban Splash Hotels, a Non Executive Director of United Utilities Water plc, Chairman of Liverpool Culture Company and Chairman of Westmorland Motorway Services.

He was Chair of CBI North West from 2000 to 2002 and was awarded an MBE for services to regeneration. He is a Deputy Lieutenant of Lancashire and was High Sheriff of Lancashire in 2003/04. He is a member of the Lake District National Park Authority.
