or access via GP, Health Visitor Nurse.
Times of Helplines: Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm.
Answering machine available at all times.
Times of Sessions: 9am - 5pm plus some evening
clinics
Service: Community based service with
specialist advisors working across Cumbria, ensuring an easily
accessible service in both rural and urban communities.
Pregnancy services: Community based specialist
midwives are available for pregnant women, providing home visits
where necessary. Pregnant women can also access the Community
Advisor Service.
Ethnic services: Has no dedicated service for
ethnic minority groups. Suggested that people wishing to access the
service bring an English speaking friend or relative for
translation purposes.
Other services: Smoking Cessation within
hospital base from Smoking Cessation Nurse. School nurses have been
trained to support children at school.
