Kingmoor Park Enterprise Zone
Kingmoor Park gained enterprise Zone Status in April following months of joint working between the management of Kingmoor Park, Carlisle City Council and Cumbria LEP. It is now one of a limited number of Enterprise Zones across the UK, offering financial and operational incentives to businesses looking to locate there.
Kingmoor Park is a key strategic employment site within Carlisle and is an economic hub serviced by impressive public transport, the latest IT and super-fast internet connectivity.The location is metres from the West Coast Main Line and a number of freight rail-heads making it a supreme site for seamless multimodal transport. Its road access to the M6 motorway is unrivalled and it sits on the Carlisle Northern Development Route – providing direct access to the Port of Workington.
Prospective tenants of the Enterprise Zone could enjoy generous business rates discounts – potentially worth up to £275,000 over a five-year period – or the enhanced capital allowances which relates to tax incentives for any occupant who is spending a lot of money on plant and equipment (including vans, computer software, machinery, shop fit-outs – so it’s quite a broad spectrum).
