Children's panel
Cumbria County Council operate a Scrutiny Advisory Board -
Children and Young People.
This Panel has a key role to ensure services for children and
young people improve and develop in response to the Every Child
Matters agenda. This includes reviewing services provided
by the County Council but also looking at the work of partners to
deliver co-ordinated services.
The priorities are to:
- Put children and young people at the centre of our
services;
- Help children to lead healthier lives;
- Help keep children safe from harm & neglect;
- Enable all children to enjoy life & achieve in education,
training and recreation;
- Enable children to make a positive contribution to society and
their community;
- Help children to overcome economic disadvantage.
