Town centre crime prevention
Town centre management brings together a variety of people and
organisations to tackle issues such as crime, street layout and
furniture, transport problems and quality of the
environment.
Things we do to help prevent crime include
- installing CCTV systems to reduce street crime
- making shopping areas pedestrian only zones
- landscaping unused land
- improving street lighting
To do this, we work with

- community safety groups
- neighbouring councils
