Have your say

The CDRP are required to publicly consult on the emerging priorities. The enclosed consultation document is based on the Strategic Assessment carried out in 2007 which looked at changes in the levels and patterns of crime, disorder and substance misuse since the last strategic assessment and analysis of why these changes have occurred. The Draft Priorities provide a summarised version of the Strategic Assessment, focusing on the issues for 2008/2009 and the reasoning behind them. This is a document focusing upon Carlisle specifically and you can influence and shape our future priorities. A separate consultation document is available for Eden.

The main purposes of the strategic assessment is:

  • to provide knowledge and understanding of community safety problems that will inform and enable the partners to understand patterns, shifts and trends,
  • set clear and robust priorities,
  • develop activity that is driven by reliable intelligence and meets the needs of the local community,
  • deploy resources effectively and represent value for money.
