Children in care

Cumbria County Council aims to provide a range of services which promote the ability of young people to:

  • live in or near their community of origin,
  • experience and grow up in family settings,
  • maintain social relationships and
  • use ordinary educational provision

so as to grow up as responsible citizens with good life chances.

Cumbria County Council provide Children's residential care as part of their Children's Services.
