Role of Audit Services

The primary function of Audit Services is to review the activities undertaken by the Authority and to measure, evaluate and report upon the effectiveness of internal controls – financial and other – as a contribution to the efficient, effective and economic use of resources in order to :-

• Safeguard assets;
• Ensure reliability and integrity of records;
• Promote operational efficiency;
• Monitor adherence to policies and directives;
• Accomplish objectives and goals.
