The Councillor Call for Action (CCfA) is a development from the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. This provides elected members with a mechanism to formally request a relevant scrutiny committee to consider an issue in their ward for further investigation, if all other actions fail. The CCfA provisions were introduced on 1 April 2009.
