Social Care Careers Fair
Carlisle’s inaugural recruitment event

Carlisle will stage its first ever Social Care Careers Fair this
Wednesday (22 April).
Organised by Carlisle City Council, the Care Sector Alliance
Cumbria and Return to Work, the event will be held between 10am and
4pm, at The Hallmark Hotel.
The recruitment fair will include around forty stalls and advice
on careers in social care, local vacancies, tips on how to fill in
application forms and interview techniques, how to access training
and the chance to meet employers, will all be available.
Half hour talks from workers currently employed within social
care and support will also form part of the event. Attendees will
be able to listen to ‘Busting the Myths’ sessions throughout the
day. The talks will be on careers within mental health, drug and
solvent abuse, elderly care, home care, neuro care, fostering and
adoption and others.
