Beginners kayaking courses

Local families are being invited to test out their water wings
at Talkin Tarn Country Park.
Brookbank Carlisle has arranged a series of half-day beginners
kayaking courses during April, May and June.
The course will run between 10am and 1pm on the following
days:
- Saturday, 24 April
- Saturday, 8 May
- Saturday, 22 May
- Saturday, 5 June
It will include basic kayak handling skills, paddling, turning
and stopping , as well as an introduction to safety on the
water.
Pete Fricker, from Brookband Carlisle, said:
“By taking part in the course, you will be taught
basic kayaking skills from local experts. It will help you have a
safer and more enjoyable time on the water. As well as beginners,
the course is also ideal for those that have tried kayaking in the
past and want to refresh their skills.”
