(Date of issue: Tuesday, 26 August 2008)
Dozens of local children and young people are expected to take
part in a re-scheduled Skate Jam event in Carlisle later this month

Organised by SPAM (Skate Park Action Meeting) and Carlisle City
Council it will include some freestyle drop-in sessions and
competitions for all levels of ability throughout the day.
Aimed at children and young people of all ages, the event is
open to all skateboarders, rollerbladers and BMX bikers.
Registration is on the day, however parental consent is required
for young people aged 16 or under who wish to take part in the
competitions.
