Hammond’s Pond play area consultation
(Date of issue: Monday, 7 December 2009)
Local families and children are being asked to have their say
about new play equipment planned for Hammond’s Pond.
A consultation event will be held in the park café this Sunday
(13 December) between 1pm and 3pm, organised by the Friends of
Hammond’s Pond.
Fundraising is currently underway to replace the current wooden
play equipment and local views are sought before any replacements
are bought.
Those that take part will be given an early Christmas treat
(these will be available on a first come, first served basis).
Sally Ford, Secretary of the Friends of Hammond’s Pond,
said:
“Everyone’s welcome to come along to the
consultation event as to want to hear from as many local residents
as possible. Local views are important to the future development of
the park and we hope we get a good turn-out.”
The Friends of Hammond’s Pond are looking to raise in the region
of £70,000-£80,000 for the play equipment improvements. Donations
are welcomed, contact Sally Ford on 01228 529221.
