February half term events planned

Local children are being given the opportunity to have an ‘ace’ time during next week’s February half-term holidays (Monday, 11 – Thursday, 14 February).

To coincide with the opening of the new hardcourts, Carlisle City Council has put a Junior Tennis Development Programme in place, with support from the Lawn Tennis Association. As part of this, a series of new half-term events have been arranged to suit children aged between 4 and 16 years old. Specialist tennis training events will cater to a specific age ranges and will include:

  • Monday, 11 – Wednesday, 13 February – 9.30am – 11am – Mini Aces Tennis Camp (ages 4/5 to 7/8) – cost £10
  • Monday, 11 – Wednesday, 13 February – 11am – 12.30pm – Junior Aces Tennis Camp (ages 8/9 to 10/11) – cost £10
  • Monday, 11 – Wednesday, 13 February – 1pm – 2.30pm – GO4IT Aces Tennis Camp (ages 11/12 to 16) – cost £10
  • Thursday, 14 February - 9.30am – 11am – Hit & Giggle Session (ages 4/5) – cost £2
  • Thursday, 14 February - 11am – 12.30pm – Junior Aces Taster Session (ages 8/9 to 10/11) – cost £2
  • Thursday, 14 February – 1pm – 2.30pm – GO4IT Taster Tennis Session (ages 11/12 to 16) – cost £2
