Carlisle City Council has organised two ‘Venture Day’ events for
children and young people aged between 8 and 19 years old.
Supported by BIG lottery funding, the events form part of Carlisle
City Council’s face2face programme. They include:
- Forest Venture - Talkin Tarn Country Park, near Brampton -
Tuesday, 17 February - between 10am and 3pm; and
- Beach Venture - Allonby beach - Wednesday, 18
February - between 10am and 3pm.
Both events are fully booked.
Carlisle City Council’s Community Support Manager, Rob Burns,
said:
"Our Venture Days take children and young people
outside their local neighbourhoods to explore unknown territories,
providing lots of adventures and challenge. They are free of charge
and include a range of creative and active activities.
The Venture Days will include the opportunity to
put up a tepee, wind breakers and spend the day building dens and
taking part in lots of exciting creative activities, games and team
challenges."
