Possible delays to rubbish and recycling collections

Following yesterday’s (Monday, 2 February) disruption to Carlisle City Council’s services due to adverse weather conditions, local residents are being advised to leave their refuse and recycling out for collection as normal.

Residents were advised yesterday that collections could not take place and every effort would be made to pick up the refuse as quickly as crews could access them.

Carlisle City Council crews have caught up on yesterday’s collections and are endeavouring to collect today’s scheduled collections too, although there may be some delays. Any refuse and recycling not collection on the scheduled will be collected on the following day.
