Carlisle City Council Budget
Local residents asked to have their say
(Date of issue: Wednesday, 07 January 2009)
Carlisle residents have until next Wednesday (14 January) to
register their opinions on City Council spending.
Carlisle City Council’s Executive Committee agreed to consult
local residents on this year’s City Council draft budget last
December, which shows an increase of 3.5% for Council tax
(2009/2010).
The Executive drew together their budget proposals and is now
seeking local comment. These will be considered as part on the
ongoing budget process and will be assessed by the Executive later
this month (Monday, 17 January).
The final budget proposals will be discussed at Carlisle City
Council’s Full Council on Tuesday, 3 February.
A copy of the draft Executive budget is available to view at the
Civic Centre’s Customer Contact Centre and is also available
here.
Any comments need to be sent to Town Clerk & Chief
Executive, Carlisle City Council, Civic Centre, Carlisle, CA3 8QG
by Wednesday, 14 January.
