£23,000 raised for local charities
Charity event reaps rewards for Carlisle Mayor’s Charity
Fund

A charity event at Carlisle Racecourse has raised £23,672.10 for
the Carlisle Mayor’s Charity Fund.
The Carlisle Mayor’s Raceday was held on Monday, 8 November
2010.
The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr Mary Styth, said:
“I’m delighted that such a key local business has pledged their
support to this year’s Mayor’s Charity Fund. They understand the
importance of the fund and the benefits it will reap for local
charities. All the events held so far have been a great success and
I’d like to thank the organisers for all their hard work.”
The main beneficiaries of this year’s Carlisle Mayor’s Charity
Fund will be the Carlisle Youth Zone, the Henry Lonsdale Trust and
The Living Well Trust.
