Places still available on City Tennis programme

A limited number of places are still available for anyone
wanting to improve their tennis skills this winter.
Carlisle City Council’s ‘Domeinators’ tennis coaching programme
is now underway and there is still an opportunity to sign up.
The junior programme is for children aged 5-18 and a number of
classes are available Wednesday - Saturday in Bitts Park tennis
courts. All sessions are delivered by highly experienced LTA
qualified and licensed coaches. All coaches are CRB checked and
first aid trained.
A Ladies only session also takes place on Friday mornings for
those wanting to improve their technique or just get active and
enjoy some social tennis. Contact Carlisle City Council on 01228

Adults coaching is also available and is bookable through
Carlisle Leisure Limited on 01228 625545.
All tennis courses started on Monday, 9 January and finish the
week ending 24th March 2012 (not including half term). Costs vary
and start at £30 for 10 weeks of coaching.
Cllr Jacquelyne Geddes, Portfolio holder for Community
Engagement, said:
“We’re lucky to have some great facilities at Bitts Park and our
professional coaching programme provides local residents the chance
to get some expert tuition at a reduced cost. I’d urge anyone with
an interest in developing their skills to join up soon, while
places are still available.”
