Mayoral event celebrates group’s 21st anniversary

The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr Barry Earp is hosting a special
event in celebration of Carlisle Access Group’s 21st
anniversary.
The Civic Function will be held at Tullie House this Wednesday
(1 February) at 2.30pm.
Carlisle Access Group is the champion of local disability groups
and continues to ensure that facilities within the city are open
and accessible to all.
The strong and diligent team includes 17 members who represent
local disability groups and organisations, or are individual
members. All have a wide knowledge and experience of disability
related issues. As well as ensuring that buildings are accessible
to all, the group also ensures that provision of signage and
assistance for people who are deaf or visually impaired is put in
place.

- Council for Voluntary Services (CVS)

- Disability Advice Carlisle and Eden (DACE)

- Fast Forward 89
- Cerebral Palsy Cumbria
- Cumberland Infirmary.
Membership of the Group is open to individuals, organisations,
groups and community associations representing disabled people or
wishing to co-operate in achieving all the aims and objectives of
