Hammond’s Pond

Sponsored dog walk this weekend

Local residents will be putting their best feet forward this Sunday (27 July), as part of a charity dog walk around Hammond’s Pond, Carlisle.

Starting and finishing at the café, the event has been organised be the Friends of Hammond’s and will start at 10am. It will involve walking a 1.5-mile distance around the local beauty spot and will help raise funding for Cumbria Cerebral Palsy.

This is the first time the sponsored walk will be held in the park but, if it proves popular, the event may become a regular feature.
