Carlisle City Council events
Carlisle City Council has organised lots of activities to keep
local youngsters busy over the Easter holidays:
- Go 4 it - packed Carlisle City Council activity programmes
include the opportunity to sample beginners skiing, tennis,
trampolining, waterpolo, canoeing and climbing as part of the Go 4
It scheme. Aimed at 10 to 16 year olds, the events run between
Tuesday, 25 March – Friday, 28 March and Monday, 31 March – Friday,
4 April and are open to all youngsters in the Carlisle area. Place
are still be available.
- Star:track athletics Camp - held between Tuesday, 25 March and
Thursday, 27 March, 10am –1pm each day. Aimed at 8 to 12 year olds,
the schemes will provide a variety of athletics training. Places
are still be available, each child receives a T-shirt and goodie
bag.
- Mini and Junior Aces Tennis Camps - available for children aged
between 5 and 10 at the new Bitts Park Tennis Courts. Place are
still be available.

- Multi-Use Games Areas - Multi-sports activities are available
between 1pm and 3pm at Dale End Road (Tuesday, 25 March and
Tuesday, 1 April), Hammond’s Pond (Wednesday, 26 March and
Wednesday, 2 April), Raffles (Thursday, 27 March and Thursday, 3
April) and Melbourne Park (Friday, 28 March and Monday, 31 March).

- Talkin Tarn Country Park - Between Friday, 21 March and l
Sunday, 6 April, local residents will be able to take part in an
Easter Treasure Trail around the Brampton beauty spot. Question
sheets will be available from the Boathouse tearoom and will cost
£1 per child, including a prize for those who complete the trail.

- Tullie House – Events will be held between Saturday, 22 March
and Wednesday, 2 April. Activities for all ages including
decorating Easter Eggs, making a claymation film and animal
