Free activities for Carlisle youngsters

Carlisle youngsters are being given the chance to put some
razzamataz into their Easter holidays by taking part in some free
dance sessions.
Carlisle City Council has arranged ‘Glee’ style dance training
for children aged eight years old and younger and ‘Diversity’ style
street dancing for children aged eight years old and older. Places
must be booked by Monday, 29 March.
The events will be held on Thursday, 1 April at the following
locations:
- Greystone Community Centre – 10am-11am – for children aged
eight years and younger;
- Greystone Community Centre – 11am-12noon - for children aged
eight years and older;
- Morton Community Centre – 1pm-2pm - for children aged eight
years and younger; and
- Morton Community Centre – 2pm-3pm - for children aged eight
years and older.
Part of the overall City Council face2face programme which is
funded by the Big Lottery Fund, expert tuition will be provided by
local dance group Razzamataz.
Other events are also planned during Easter include a Farm
Venture day on Tuesday, 30 March; a Forest Venture day on Tuesday,
6 April and a Beach Activity day on Thursday, 8 April.

Carlisle City Council has organised lots of other activities to
keep local youngsters busy over the Easter school holidays:
Go 4 it! – 29 March – 9 April – for children aged from 5 to 16+.
The packed Carlisle City Council activity programme includes the
opportunity to sample skiing, boxing, trampolining, athletics and

An International market, arranged by Carlisle City Council in
partnership with Market Place Europe Ltd, will be staged in the
city centre between Thursday, 1 April and Monday, 5 April, 10am to
5pm, in the city centre pedestrianised shopping area.
