Local residents asked to give their support

The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr William Graham, is asking local residents to give their support to volunteers taking part in his Civic Centre charity abseil tomorrow (Tuesday, 23 March).

Fifteen volunteers, including The Mayor, have signed up and will be abseiling down the ten - floor skyscraper.

Officers from Carlisle Armed Forces Careers will be on hand to ensure that the abseil down the 135-foot high (41-metre) building goes safely.

All sponsorship monies will be donated to the Mayor’s Charity Fund, whose main beneficiary is “Eden House Children’s Hospice, Carlisle”.
