Big Tidy Up event planned in Melbourne Park

Local residents are being asked to muck in and help clean-up a local park this Saturday (2 April).

The Friends of Melbourne Park has joined forces with Carlisle City Council and Riverside’s ‘Your Place’ team to organise the community litter-pick within the Melbourne Park grounds.

All are welcome to come down and help on the day.

The tidy-up will be held between 10am and 12noon and those wanting to take part should meet in the park by the bridge on the path linking Borland Avenue and Melbourne Road.

Gloves, litter pickers and bin bags will be provided.

The litter park is one of many measures the City Council has taken to encourage residents and visitors to keep Carlisle Cleaner, Greener and Safer.
