Brampton Business Centre celebrates Adult Learners’ Week
As part of Adult Learners’ Week, residents are being given the
opportunity to sample free taster sessions at Brampton Business
Centre and its Wooden Hut Arts & Craft Centre.
The Carlisle City Council training centres will stage events,
starting on Monday, 19 May between 9.30am - 12noon and 1pm –
3pm, with an open invitation to see the woodwork group at work. The
same event will be held on Tuesday, 20 May. Other free ‘taster
sessions’ include:
- Tuesday, 20 May – between 1pm and 3pm – A snapshot on digital
imaging – drop in on for a coffee and get an insight into digital
photography;
- Wednesday, 21 May – between 1pm and 3pm – Internet safety – get
some top tips on setting up parental internet controls and how to
avoid viruses on your computer;
- Thursday, 22 May – between 9.30am – 12noon and 1pm – 3pm – an
open invitation to call in and see the art group at work; and
- Friday, 23 May – between 9.30am and 12noon – Computing Café –
drop in for a coffee and get support and guidance on how to improve
your computer skills and confidence.
