Free bank holiday fun for all the family to enjoy

Carlisle City Council’s Upperby Gala will provide fun for all the family on Bank Holiday Monday 26 May, between 2pm and 5pm.

The free event will be held at Hammond’s Pond and visitors will be able to marvel at The Kangaroos Gymnastic Display Team.

Polly and Jolly’s Comedy Taxi, children’s entertainer Daffy Dill, fairground rides, a model railway and a bouncy castle will provide a packed programme for children and young people.

Stalls from a variety of local community groups will offer information and activities.

The Lairds of Dixieland Jazz Band and a vintage vehicle display will also form part of the community event’s entertainment.

The Upperby Gala has free admission and will open between 2pm and 5pm. Refreshments will be available.
