Local charities benefit from record-breaking £34,000 Mayor's
Charity Fund

Carlisle’s Mayoral Charity Fund has raised a
record-breaking £34,261 for local charities. Carlisle Mayor, Cllr
William Graham will present the nine chosen charities with their
cheques this Friday (14 May) at the Civic Centre building.
Around ten events have been held during Cllr
Graham’s 2009/2010 Mayoral year, including a Great Fair Civic
Breakfast, Lunch and Flower Demonstration, Burns Supper, Cowans
Sheldon Reunion Evening, Kilometre of Pennies, Rue & The
Rockets 50th Anniversary Concert, Abseil, Drawing, and Race
Night.
