Preparations underway for Santa’s visit

Santa will be making a visit to Talkin Tarn this Christmas.

Preparations are currently underway to create a magical Green Grotto at the Country Park. Following an environmentally-friendly theme, the Alex Boathouse will be decked out in displays ‘recycled’ from a former Tullie House’s popular ‘Once Upon a Time’ exhibition.

The Green Grotto will be open in the Alex Boathouse this weekend (Saturday 5 - Sunday 6 December), followed by Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 December and Saturday 19 - Sunday 20 December, between 11am and 3pm each day.

As well as meeting Santa and receiving a small gift, there will also be the chance for local children to post their letter to Lapland. Entry is £2.50 per child.

Three-course Christmas lunches are also available in the Talkin Tarn tearoom, each day, until Wednesday, 23 December. Evening functions are also available. Telephone 016977 41050 to make a booking.
