E Learning @ Brampton
Celebrate UK online Family Learning Week
Brampton Business Centre is hosting a special get online day on
Friday 12 October, between 10.00am and 4.00pm, advisors will be on
hand to offer guidance and advice on surfing the web and using the
Intranet, as part of UK online Family Learning Week.
The event is aimed at getting families to discover what the
Internet could do for them. The get online day is aimed at
encouraging families who don't use, have little or no access to the
internet to step into their local UK online centre and discover a
whole new world through the web. Designed to bring together
different generations including mums, dads, aunts, uncles,
grandparents and children.
There is the opportunity to win prizes up to the value of
£20,000 provided by PC World for families that take up the 'Family
Web Challenge' at Brampton Business Centre. The 'Family Web
Challenge' is an online 'game' that introduces people to some of
the things they can do on the Internet - things, which might be
useful for them and their families. There are some great prizes to
win these include PC, laptops, digital cameras and vouchers for
family days out.
Are you ready to take up the challenge?

the sessions at Brampton Business Centre are free
and more importantly it doesn't matter if those wanting to pop
along haven't been near a computer before. The get online day is an
opportunity to dip your toe into online waters and learn how
Internet could help you save time, hassle and money.
The event is supported by PC World, BT, Intel and the Campaign
for Learning. Residents are being urged to try the free taster
sessions at Brampton Business Centre and find out what the web can
do for them.
