Halloween event - Trembling Tales & Trails

(Date of issue: Tuesday, 28 October 2008)

Local children will be treated to some Trembling Tales & Trails this Halloween (Friday, 31 October) at Talkin Tarn Country Park.

The ghoulish event will include craft activities followed by a Forest Trail and story telling. Held between 1pm and 7pm, the trail will last around 40 minutes and will go through the woods (not on paths) where children will meet an assortment of Halloween characters and will be asked to solve a mission. The storyteller will be one of the characters on the trail.

Suitable for children aged under 12 years old, the refreshments will also be available in the Tea Room with Halloween themed food. Prizes will also be given out for children in the Best Fancy Dress Costumes.

Pre-booked tickets cost £5 per child or £6 per child on the day of the event. Children aged 2 years old get free entry, as do adults accompanying children.

Those taking part are advised to bring a torch if they booked in for evening trails and also bring appropriate clothing in the event of wet or windy weather.
