Information on a group that champions local disability groups is
now available online.
Carlisle Access Group will celebrate its 21st anniversary in
early 2012 and has developed its own webpage - www.carlisle.gov.uk/accessgroup
The group’s eighteen members help ensure that facilities within
the city are open and accessible to all.
Its strong and diligent team includes members who represent
local disability groups or individual members with a wide knowledge
and experience of disability related issues.
As well as ensuring that buildings are accessible to all, the
group also ensures that provision of signage and assistance for
people who are deaf or visually impaired is put in place.
