Money Matters Roadshow
Support at hand at city centre event
A Money Matters Roadshow will be held in Carlisle's city centre
tomorrow (Friday, 21 September), between 10am and 2.30pm.
The event has been organised by the Carlisle Advice Forum which
brings together a range of organisations who provide free and
impartial financial advice to local residents.
The aim of the event is to promote the support available from
local agencies, such as the Benefit Advice Service, Citizens Advice
Bureau, the Law Centre, Carlisle Credit Union and Age Concern.
Advice on how to maximise income, cope with debt and encourage
saving will all be available tomorrow.
To encourage families to call into the event, a jester will keep
children entertained and a selection box will be given to any child
whose parent sets up a Credit Union savings account on their
behalf. The City Council's Face2Face mobile play unit will also be
attendance.
The Money Matters Roadshow will be held outside the Old Town
Hall in Carlisle's pedestrianised city centre shopping area.
