World’s Biggest Coffee Morning
Hammond’s Pond serves up a charity event

Carlisle City Council and the Friends of Hammond’s Pond will be
serving up a charity coffee morning on Friday, 25 September.
As part of the Macmillan Cancer World's Biggest Coffee Morning,
an event will be held at the Hammond’s Pond café between 10am and
4pm.
Homemade cakes, tea and coffee will be offer, with all money
raised on the day going to the Macmillan Cancer charity. The Mayor
of Carlisle, Cllr William Graham, will giving his support to the
event by popping in for a cuppa at around 11.45am.
Sally Ford, Secretary of the Friends of Hammond’s Pond,
said:
"This is the first time that we’ve taken part in
the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and we hope that local residents
will support us, and the Macmillan Cancer charity, by visiting our
event and sampling some of our homecake cakes and
refreshments."
Last year, more than 45,000 people took part in the World’s
Biggest Coffee Morning by holding coffee mornings and, together
with their family, friends and colleagues, raised more than
