Carlisle City Council and the Friends of Hammond’s Pond will be serving up a charity coffee morning on Friday, 25 September.

Homemade cakes, tea and coffee will be offer, with all money raised on the day going to the Macmillan Cancer charity. The Mayor of Carlisle, Cllr William Graham, will giving his support to the event by popping in for a cuppa at around 11.45am.

Sally Ford, Secretary of the Friends of Hammond’s Pond, said:

"This is the first time that we’ve taken part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and we hope that local residents will support us, and the Macmillan Cancer charity, by visiting our event and sampling some of our homecake cakes and refreshments."

Last year, more than 45,000 people took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by holding coffee mornings and, together with their family, friends and colleagues, raised more than £7.5million. For information visit www.macmillan.org.uk
