The Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 requires Carlisle City Council to make changes to its current governance and decision making arrangements.
The new arrangements will come into operation immediately after the elections in May 2011.
The Council is required by the Act to publish its proposals following the conclusion of the consultation exercise.
