Comprehensive Equality Scheme
The Comprehensive Equality Scheme outlines how we will
meet the duties of The Equality Act (2010).
It enables us to reinvigorate our approach to equalities and
helps to meet the requirements of the Achieving level of the
Equality Framework for Local Government.
The Scheme was adopted by the Council in September 2010 and
updated in April 2011, following the successful Equality
Framework for Local Government Peer Assessment.
Consultation with our employees and community has informed the
development of our scheme.
