Equality Framework for Local Government

The Framework has been developed as a tool to enable local authorities to mainstream age, disability, gender, race, religion or belief and sexual orientation into council policy and practice at all levels. There are three levels of the Framework: Developing, Achieving and Excellent.

Carlisle City Council was awarded the Achieving level in October 2010 following a Peer Assessment. Access the Equality Framework for Local Government - Achieving report.
