Equality Impact Assessment
Equality legislation requires the Council to
publish equality information and objectives. Impact assessment
is a way of thoroughly assessing, and consulting on, the
effects that a function, policy or practice is likely to have on
groups of people within our community.
The Council has developed Equality Impact Assessments on
website pages that link to evidence about a service including user
satisfaction, policy documents and performance
information. The impact assessment are
live pages that inform our continuous
development.
As part of the screening process every
paper presented to the Executive is now screened
for impacts in line with our Comprehensive Equality
Scheme.
