This includes provision for gypsy, traveller and roma families.

Overseeing the contract between Carlisle City Council and Riverside Carlisle, in respect of former City Council-owned properties.

Providing affordable housing in rural areas is one of the greatest challenges in the housing strategy.

Fuel poverty is more likely to affect rural households due the methods of construction and the lack of a networked gas supply.

Other Yes Hostels and homelessness service provides a crucial safety net with a proven record of ‘getting people back on their feet’. Centre of Excellence will provide additional opportunities to service uses whilst providing a community resources in Caldewgate. There is inequality in the levels of satisfaction with own home across a range of identifiable groups. (Difference of 10% on the average is identified below). Social Housing has a satisfaction of 81% compared with 91% for the average.
