A Community Plan for Carlisle
Launch of our new
Sustainable Community Strategy 2011-16
On Friday, 17 June 2011 a wholly new Community
Plan for Carlisle was launched at the Carlisle
Partnership's Annual General Meeting.
Following a successful year in which progress has been made
under each priority area, we are keen to build on this good
practice and widen the scope of our work by setting refreshed
aims for the years ahead.
The Community Plan was drawn up via a series of
workshops across the Partnership's Priority Working Groups and the
full forum. Following these a number of consultative
drafts were circulated across the partnership before a final
version was recommended to Carlisle City Council by the
Partnership's Executive. The Community Plan was adopted by the City
Council at their January 2011 meeting.
