Convenors
Structure
Chairman: Lynne Hutchinson (Cumbria Council for
Voluntary Service - Carlisle)
Vice Chairman: Karen Bassett (University of Cumbria)
The Convenors fulfil the ‘Clearing-House’ function of the
Carlisle Partnership and operate between the Priority Working
Groups and the Executive. The Convenors Group is comprised of:
- The Chairs of each Priority Working Group
- Representatives from the NHS, voluntary and community
sectors
Role
The Convenors are supported by the Carlisle Partnership Manager
and the Carlisle Partnership Support Officer. The primary tasks of
the Convenors are:
- To promote awareness of priorities, issues and activities of
each Priority Group
- To contribute the Carlisle Partnership Executive Agenda
- To review feedback suggestions and comments from the Priority
Groups
- To consolidate Priority Group reports for the attention of the
Executive
- To identify emerging areas of interest for consideration by the
Priority Groups
- To delegate actions to the Priority Groups as appropriate
- To always consider cross-cutting issues
- To support the work of the Cumbria Strategic Partnership
- To help drive the delivery of the LAA
- To champion the interests of the Partnership at a local,
regional and national level
