Priority Working Groups
Structure
Within the Carlisle Partnership there are currently four
Priority Working Groups in line with the Community Plan who meet
regularly to make plans and assess the progress made on key
priorities. These groups are:
Alongside these groups there are also the:
- Carlisle Strategic Housing Group: This looks at housing needs
and issues across Carisle.
- Rural Support Group: This rural proofs the work of the other
Carlisle Partnership groups and challenges them to ensure effective
delivery in rural communities.
Role
Members of the Priority Groups are drawn from the membership of
the Carlisle Partnership Forum. Furthermore, the groups may invite
additional members in order to acquire specialist expertise in key
areas. The main purposes of the Priority Working Groups
include:
- To focus on key issues affecting Carlisle
- To champion the issues of members and local communities
- To advise the Executive on key priorities for action
- To implement the Community Plan and monitor progress on actions
and initiatives
- To ensure that Partnership activities are aligned with the
Community Plan
- To always consider cross-cutting issues
- To support the work of the Cumbria Strategic Partnership
- To meet as often as determined necessary
- To act within the Constitution of the Partnership
