International students
Coming to the UK as a student can open up a whole new world,
full of unique opportunities, memorable moments and life-changing
experiences. It can also be a challenge trying to understand how
the UK education system works, learning how British people interact
and communicate with each other, and adapting to life in the UK
whilst away from family and friends and familiar surroundings.
Study at University of Cumbria
We are delighted that you are thinking about coming to study in
England and that you are considering following a course at the
University of Cumbria. Here at the University of Cumbria (external
link) you will be able to study in one of the most beautiful parts
of the country in an institution which has been welcoming
international students through its doors for many years. Cumbria
famously contains the Lake District National Park as well as
historical treasures like Hadrian’s Wall, built by the Romans
and now an internationally recognised World Heritage
Site.
The university has three campuses, two of which are located
in Carlisle. It is a young, vibrant university and one of the
newest in the UK, created from three established colleges that
between them can trace their history back two hundred years.
Study Abroad & Exchanges
Studying abroad is a great way for students to experience a
different culture, improve language skills and to meet new people.
The University of Cumbria has exchange agreements with universities
throughout Europe and the wider world. We accept applications for a
semester or a full academic year. If your institution does not have
an exchange agreement with us you can apply to come as a study
abroad student.
