Derelict properties - public safety

If a derelict building is required to be secured against unauthorised access please contact Environmental Health on 01228 817000. In some circumstances Development Control may be able to serve a disamenity notice under section 215 of the Town and County Planning Act.

Disamenity Notice (Section 215 Notice):  where it appears to the Local Planning Authority that the amenity of a part of their area is adversely affected by the condition of the land and building.
