The maps to accompany the Plan are only available as hard copies. There are two, covering the urban and rural areas, as well as Dalston, Brampton and Longtown. The adopted plan may be purchased for £38 plus £3 postage and packing. Cheques for the appropriate amount should be made payable to Carlisle City Council and sent to:

Alternatively, the maps may be viewed at the Civic Centre.

Under the provisions of Schedule 8 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, some policies of the adopted Local Plan have been "saved" and will therefore be used when assessing planning proposals and applications.

The attached schedule lists these policies.

For ease of viewing, the Plan has been split into subject chapters.
