Pollution Control - Noise

The Environmental Quality Team will investigate complaints of alleged noise nuisance except those from food businesses. We will:

• Respond to service requests relating to noise nuisance and carry out investigation, monitoring and enforcement to maintain peaceful coexistence between neighbours and the absence of industrial noise nuisance.
• Undertake noise surveys relating to commercial premises, industry and traffic sources in connection with planning application consultations.
• Control noise and vibration and promote a quiet living environment to reduce health impacts caused by noise.
